A simple tut about blending in Photoshop (I'm using Photoshop CS2) with a pressure sensitive graphics tablet (I'm using a Wacom Intuos 2)
btw this is just how I tend to go about blending, if you have a better method ffs stick with it!!!
Blending I find is always the hardest thing to master in digital painting. Blending Tutorial by *acidlullaby is a short and sweet tutorial that covers the basics without overloading the amateur artist. An easy, straight-forward guide that you can try in under 10 minutes and even better, it actually works! This is just one of her latest tutorials . (

thank you! do you have any other tutorials or links on PAINTING in CS2/PS (I have CS2 and 7) ??? I'd like to learn to do more than cell shading..... you know, make paintings and not illustrations with cell shading or something simplifies, I feel like I can learn/do so much more if I am able to find people who know the ropes, even if I learn through step-by-steps people post.
Hi, Thanks for your contribution. I've been practicing blending colors with this tutorial but I still can't make it just like you did. Not because I can't do it right at the moment, I just wonder, is there any function that you customized to do this? I mean did you also adjust the opacity or flow other than choosing a stipple brush? Let me know. Thanks.
I am so scared of blending! I tend to use SAI's "watercolor" tool as a crutch, but I feel it gives digital paintings too much of a "smooth" feel, rather than the cool grainy textures you can get from Photoshop. I'll definitely keep this tutorial nearby. Thank you for this, and grats on your DD!
