I have discovered that I'm rather intimidated by large colour palettes and appear to end up doing these "single colour" pictures way more than I should... gotta work on that >_>

Anyhoo, hugely inspired by paintings of Sir Frank Dicksee and John Collier.

(p.s. the compression has done some really weird things to the details, I worked pretty big for this picture so what you're seeing is about a 5th of a original size)

This is exactly how I picture the character of Melisandre from the Game of Thrones series. The lighting and coloring is incredible in this painting.
